Program Note

This piece is inspired by the imagery of a huge iceberg in the North Pole. Considering the unique instrumentation, this piece evolves gradually and moves forward to different sound environment, exploring and creating a world of fragments.

Solitary Iceberg symbolizes somewhere inside your mind that holds you when you are enduring in excessive circumstances. This piece is a response and reaction to the composer’s own solitary iceberg in her mind. 

I hope this music can relate individual’s soul through interacting with each others; composer, performers, and the listeners.
