Program Note

This piece was initially improvised by the composer who aimed to seize the vague afterimage of her dream. The composer did not express the plot of the dream directly but the atmospheric air and scent of the dream which spread in her unconscious mind. Even though we feel things in dreams like it is real, everything begins to disappear when we wake up and only rough figures remain. We cannot dream intentionally, but the composer builds an imitation of our unconscious world through her music. Aligning with society’s trends of meditation, self-reflection, and concentration on inner value, this piece aims to be a mirror that reflects our unconscious world; the piece was written to help the audience face and appreciate their inner voices to give them an imaginative musical moment in their life.
